In this book we come across a black cat, one of those kind of strays that occasionally get in our way.

The cat is called Gatuno and lives from yard to yard, choosing the owner and the shade that best suits him, according to the time of year and his feline desires.

Like Gatuno, in this book we do not enter anyone's house. Rather, we stay with the parallel stories that take place outside, by the lemon and loquat trees, vegetable gardens and clotheslines, following the life of eight backyards and their respective occupants.
