Processing times
Unless otherwise indicated orders are processed within 24 hours. Processing does not include shipping, please see shipping times below.
Shipping method
Unless otherwise specified shipping is by registered mail. Other options may be available upon request. We may suggest other shipping options when a more advantageous one exists, for example DHL parcel service within Europe. These options may be available to you during check-out or we may suggest them after you have placed your order.
Shipping times
In continental Portugal delivery usually takes 3 - 4 days. Açores and Madeira 4 - 5 days. In Europe it can take 1 to 2 weeks. In the rest of the world it may take 2 - 3 weeks.
Shipping cost
The cost of shipping is not included in the book price, it is calculated and added to your order. The cost of shipping is calculated by the weight of books. Your shopping basket will show you the calculated shipping cost based on the country you are in. If you are shipping to a different country than the one you are currently in you will be able to change your shipping country during the check-out process.
Tracking your order
When your items have been dispatched you should receive an email with tracking info. If you did not, please contact us at [email protected].
If you have not received your order in the expected amount of time, please let us know so that we may try to resolve the issue. Contact us at [email protected].
Import duties
Orders outside the EU may be subject to import duties and taxes imposed by the destination country; any additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by the customer.

Item availability
We stock our books before we make them available to you in our online store. Therefore, in principal, if you were able to order an item it is in stock and ready to be shipped to you. We never knowingly accept an order for an item that we do not have in stock. However we're not infallible and occasionally a stocking error or conflict can occur. In such cases we'll do our utmost to resolve the situation with you as quickly as possible.
Requesting items
If you're looking for an item that you cannot find in our online store or is marked as "unavailable" don't hesitate to contact us for more information. We may have the item available in our physical store or more copies of the item may be on the way to us and we can reserve a copy for you. Contact us at [email protected]

Returns policy
In general books are not returnable or exchangeable but we may accept returns or exchanges for special circumstances. To request a return or exchange contact us at [email protected].
Damaged items
If any item ordered arrives damaged we will replace the item if it is available or, if it is not available, refund it (including shipping costs).

Payment methods
We currently accept payment by Paypal, credit card (via paypal, membership not necessary), referencia Multibanco (national orders only), or MB Way (national orders only).

The Invoice for your order is sent via email and does not go with the package (unless required for import purposes).
Invoices with Tax number
If you would like an invoice with your tax number please provide your tax number in the appropriate field during the check-out process.

All orders are carefully packaged with recycled materials. Before that, books are wrapped for extra protection.
Gift wrapping
We're happy to gift-wrap individual books and even include hand-wriiten notes on your behalf. Just let us know in the notes section when you place your order, or by email via [email protected] within two hours of placing your order.
