Bernardo P. Carvalho is a co-founder and resident author at Planeta Tangerina publishing house. His vast body of work shows a constantly inventive approach through a wide-ranging exploration of different techniques and styles. However, his individuality is always perceptible.

He has won the National Prize for Illustration twice (2009/2020), the Bologna Ragazzi (Opera Prima, 2015/Non-fiction, 2019), the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize (2017), among many other distinctions. His books are published in more than 25 countries.
