"The original text of Snow White by the Grimm brothers was first published in Germany in 1812. In that version, there is no trace of funny or passionate looking dwarves, no princely kisses and no happy ending, but rather the violent and merciless death inflicted by Snow White on the queen, burnt alive in front of the wedding guests." Beatrice Alemagna starts from this reflection to ask what is the truth of the tale and where is the Good in the Grimm's original idea.

The answer is given by inverting the point of view of this ultra-famous fairy tale: the narrating voice, here, is that of the perfidious and terrible queen, welcomed by the author to approach Evil and try to understand its perverse logic and somehow experience it. "Addio, Biancaneve" reminds us once again of the importance of reading fairy tales to children, in all their merciless truth.
