To start the season we have a workshop by Madalena Matoso based on the book "Cantar Juntos pelo Mundo" where we'll try our hand at creating our own instruments! We also have a portrait masterclass for children with the unmistakable André Ruivo!

Instruments of the World

Children aged 6 to 10
Inspired by the book “Singing Together Around the World”, we'll look at pictures of musical instruments from different places, listen to their sounds, observe their beauty, delicacy, creativity and ingenuity, and look for differences and similarities. Finally, we'll experiment with ways of creating our own instruments.

The original drawings and some experiments created for Madalena Matoso's book “Cantar Juntos pelo Mundo” will be on display at the bookstore from September 24 to October 11.

Based on the book Retratos, the artist and author of the book, André Ruivo invites youngsters to draw self-portraits, portraits of each other, and to create new characters. An exploratory workshop which is gauranteed to be FUN!
