Laurent Moreau was born in Rennes, France. He studied graphic design at the École Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, where he currently lives. His illustrations, almost always hand-drawn, convey a unique identity and strength. Moreau is a multifaceted, internationally recognized artist whose work spans several professional areas of illustration, beyond children's literature.
