Fredun Shapur

Fredun Shapur (b. 1929) is an artist from South Africa. His work takes a bold and inventive look at the world of childhood. After studying graphic design at the Royal College of Art of London, he worked on logos, packaging and posters. Between the 1960s and 1980s, he designed toys for manufacturers such as Naef in Switzerland, Galt Toys in Britain and Creative Playthings in the United States. Shapur's use of color and graphic refinement remain surprisingly modern.
