"Duel in the Sun" is Manuel Marsol's first tribute to his passion for the Wild West, a long and tense duel between two worlds, full of humour and tenderness, which ends up becoming a parable about the need for understanding.
Two men look into each other's eyes: separated by a stream, the Indian and the cowboy await only that invisible sign that marks the beginning of the duel, doomed to a fateful end. A thousand and one mishaps delay their plans: a bird lands on the cowboy's gun and later shits in his hat; a cloud of capricious shapes envelops them in a dialogue; the roar of a locomotive momentarily impedes comprehension; the horses grow impatient and prefer to have an idyll of their own; a huge bison puts the cowboy on the run, who ends up taking refuge... in the arms of his rival.
The hours pass, the sun sets on our friends. Where does all of this takes us?
